FAMILY PORTRAITS

A portrait session lasts anywhere between 30 min - 1.5 hours. I can produces in excess of 200 photos but will cull it down to show you no more than 100 images. At our initial conversation, I'll ascertain what type/style of photos you would like to receive. I tend to describe my sessions with children and even adults(!) as playdates with a camera. Meaning, with gentle, often humorous interaction, we'll work together trying out various ideas - settings and poses - to creative photos that capture genuineness, relaxed and natural images. My goal is to put people in situations and poses that are flattering, creative and unique. The shooting experience is fun but hard work as well. Children usually burn out after 45 minutes, so the importance of a good night sleep the prior evening and a full stomach is crucial to the success of the session.

I pride myself on being a relaxed, friendly photographer who makes all my clients feel comfortable in front of a camera. I have the maturity and experience as a Mom myself, an elementary school teacher, a psychology major and an artist!
